Well frankly, anywhere you feel you can get away with wearing a gown is a great place. Typically however events you are able to wear an evening gown to are few and far between. So, my solution to this dilemma is simple, create your own formal affair and ask those you invite to wear their fanciest & finest. Are you now trying to decide when you might have such a party? Several occasions come to mind such as a major birthday, a celebration of a special event, a summer garden party, a major life accomplishment, or in my case just because you feel the need to have a party where people can sport something in their closet they don't normally get to wear. Normally events you would wear an evening gown to are the opera or theater, galas or charity benefits, formal black tie parties, pageants (if you are in them), cotillions, debutante balls, official state dinners and fancy fancy weddings. Have you ever had the opportunity to don a gown, if so what type of event was it for?
