Boyfriend Jeans #2 + Hair Scarf How To

Yes, it's boyfriend jeans again I know but, it's already been a rough week and it's only Monday.  On another note, I forgot I had my sunglasses on top of my head when I took these pictures so you get an odd look at how these shades look on top of my head instead of my face.  Minor detail I'm sure I will not miss next time.  If you like the scarf and wonder how exactly it's done I have good news for you, I have explained how to do it here:

1.  Dump head upside down and place middle of long scarf at base of neck.
2.  With great speed stand upright to flip hair back over scarf.
3.  Tie scarf twice at top of head, grab knot and pull towards the side your hair parts to.
4.  Knot should now be at the base of your neck.  Take the two ends and wrap them over an back under your ponytail, so you can make another knot at the base of your neck.
5.  Waa-lah you have now completed the romantic scarf tutorial.  Go on and look romantic.

Fantasy Friday #5

When one of your best friends asks you to be a bridesmaid in their wedding, you truly can't say no.   Even though you have been professing for years that you will never be in any of your friends weddings, they still insist and you accept the responsibility graciously.  Then when you find out you must wear yellow and find polka dotted shoes to go with the dress, the panic sets in.  Classy polka dotted wedges are hard to find and I gave up after countless searches on eBay and the web and decided this was going to turn into a DIY project.  Total cost of DIY project ended up being less than $40, which is a steal when you consider I was lusting after these Kate Spade Loire Pumps and eventually I hope to have.  It's amazing what a few stick on rhinestones will do to create a truly unique pair of polka dotted shoes though:)  More on the DIY in a future post.

Boyfriend Jeans + Colorado Layers

I would have to say that if I ever had to define Colorado Style this would probably encompass it in a nutshell.  We live in layers as a necessity because the weather can be quite temperamental, but we love it anyway.  As for the "Boyfriend Jeans", these really are just well worn slouchy jeans that say I didn't spend $70 for a trend I couldn't replicate with what I already owned.  Because who has the money to keep spending on trendy things.  That is my rant for today so remember everything comes around again and again in this stylish world and you don't have to take on every trend.

Pink + RED

I know, I know this whole pink/red trend was so last summer/fall, but i can't help myself.  And you know trying to coordinate shoes with such a bold ensemble gets tricky so I say go with a neutral animal print. It works most every time, but most of all go for comfort because ultimately that's what you will look best in.

J.Crew-ish

I happened upon this top in J. Crew a bit ago when they were having another sale, because when aren't they having a sale?  It was the only one, stuffed in between some skirts and a few pairs of brightly colored cropped pants, the tag said size 2.  I said what the heck, tried it on and loved it so much I marched up to the register and bought it for $32.  Did I mention it's 100% silk?  Yep, and I think these shoes were waiting to be worn with it.  I am still on the hunt for the very similar J. Crew Mona Wild Berry pumps though in a 7.5.  If you ever stumble upon some let me know.
