Why: You've been invited to an early 90's party where they require you to wear something preppy, yet you don't want to seem too overdone. Take a little bit of what is current now - neon, and built on it with some classic pieces. Cable knit sweaters are always a fall/winter staple and can be cheered up with a crisp white button down shirt. Nothing says preppy like a starched collar. These L.K. Bennett patent leather wedges are great for giving a little height to your look. A less expensive, but very similar version, that I have found in Nordstrom Rack lately is the Franco Sarto 'Year' wedge. It looks almost identical to the ones above and are priced at just $13-$36. They also run pretty true to size. If you would like to hunt them down you can always contact a Nordstrom Rack and ask to have one of their lovely concierges track them down for you. Happy Friday!
